TOPSHOP 214
A editorial exploration designed to promote the relaunch of TOPSHOP 214. Developing contemporary ideas through layouts and imagery.
For the relaunch of Topshop’s legendary 6-floor flagship store, 214, I crafted a dual-sided magazine for both Topshop and Topman. The finished magazine formed part of the wider launch and was a promotional asset at a catwalk in Trafalgar Square, an event attended by high-profile guests including Cara Delevingne.
The publication was designed with a contemporary aesthetic, drawing on the raw energy and attitude of the brand while balancing bold typography, experimental layouts and layered imagery. I explored a mix of contrasting hierarchy, cropping and graphic treatments to create a sense of spontaneity.
A key part of the concept was the magazine’s reversible format: Topshop begins from one end, while Topman begins from the other, allowing the publication to be read in both directions and giving each brand its own distinct visual identity.
